At only 21 years of age, Prudence Melom is an amazing young leader. Born in the small African village of Bebalem in Chad, Prudence and her family fled for safety when she was four years old and spent seven years in a refugee camp before being received into Australia in 2007.
Prudence now uses the story her families struggle to promote harmony and respect in Australia. Her story and her passion has been recognised with numerous national awards, television appearances and wide respect from social and political leaders.
Prudence founded a project called E-Raced, to take her experience further and have a positive influence on as many people as possible. E-Raced is about erasing racism and stereotypes, and embracing the diversity in Australia.
